Unitop Chemicals Pvt. Ltd. was incorporated on 11th August 1980 for Manufacturing Surfactants and Speciality Chemicals. Having Head Office in Andheri Mumbai. It is registered under the Directorate of Industries,Maharashtra.

The company was founded by first generation Entrepreneurship Mr. B. D. Shetty. We have established ourselves in various Surfactants, Emulsifiers and Specialty chemicals for Agro-Chemicals, Oil Exploration, Oilfield & Refinery Chemicals, Textiles, Fibre, Pharmaceuticals, Specialities for Rubber and Plastic Industries & many more.

Board of Directors.

1. EDWARD MENEZES, DIRECTOR

Mr. Edward Menezes has over 27 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in science (chemistry major) from K. J. Somaiya College of Science, University of Bombay and a bachelor’s degree of science (technology) in textile chemistry from University Department of Chemical Technology (UDCT), University of Bombay. He also holds a master’s degree in marketing management from Prin. L. N. Welingkar Institute of Management Development & Research, Mumbai. He joined Clariant India (formerly Sandoz) where he spearheaded various functions such as technical services, product development, marketing and business development. He is also Executive Chairman and Co-founder of Rossari Biotech Limited. He was also awarded ‘UAA Distinguished Alumnus technology day award, 2013’ by Institute of Chemical Engineering (erstwhile UDCT).

2. SUNIL CHARI, DIRECTOR

Mr. Sunil Chari has over 22 years of experience in the specialty chemicals industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree in arts from the Kakatiya University. He also holds a diploma in technical and applied chemistry from Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute (VJTI). He is the Co-founder and Managing Director of Rossari Biotech Limited. His passion for the business, people and processes provides a competitive edge in the marketplace. He brings to the table his vast knowledge and market wisdom.

3. GURUDAS ARAS, INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Mr. Gurudas Aras has over 40 years of experience in the Textile Industry in India and abroad. He has done Masters in Textile Engineering and Post Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management from Bombay University in 1982 and 1984 respectively. He joined with A.T.E Group in 1981 and rose to the top most position of “Director” for the Textile Engineering Group at A.T.E. He lead a team of nearly 130 people under the Textile Engineering Group. Retired on 31st March 2021 as Director. He received TAI Appreciation Award known as “Service Gold Medal” from the Textile Association of India in December 2018 for exemplary service to the Textile Industry.

4. APARNA SHARMA, INDEPENDENT DIRECTOR

Ms. Aparna Sharma made her foray into the corporate world through NOCIL and moved into different roles in the Human Resources function in organisations like Monsanto, Novartis, UCB, Deutsche Bank, Lafarge & Greaves Cotton. With over 26 years of rich and diverse industry experience across Building Materials, Banking & Financial Services, Pharmaceuticals (including KPO), Biotechnology & Petrochemicals in HR, she is currently contributing as a Board Mentor with various boards & as an advisor to various corporates in areas such as Strategic Leadership, Planning, Organization Behaviour & Strategy for Board Room Effectiveness, Organization Culture & Development, Leadership Relationships, Temperamental Traits & Derailment Factors within Boards etc. She has a number of awards and recognitions associated with her name-few of them are Bharat Gaurav Puraskar- 2022, Excellent Woman HR Professional of the Year- 2021, Most Influential Women in Academics-2020, Indian HR Champion of the Year-2019 etc. and celebrated author of two best-selling books namely “Between U & Me – Ordinary People, Extraordinary Lessons” and “Reality Bytes – The Role of HR in Today’s World”. Ms. Aparna Sharma completed her Masters in Personnel Management & Industrial Relations (PM&IR), from TISS Mumbai in 1996.

5. PRASAD GADKARI, DIRECTOR

Mr. Prasad Gadkari has over 24 years of experience in the Chemical Industry. He holds a diploma in business management from Nagpur University. He is associated with Rossari Biotech Limited (“RBL”) since its incorporation. He is designated as President – Manufacturing and overseas operations at both of RBL’s manufacturing plants.

6. MIKHAIL MENEZES, DIRECTOR

Mr. Mikhail Menezes has over 5 years of experience in the Chemical Industry. He holds a degree of master of engineering in chemical engineering from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, London. He is also associated with Rossari Biotech Limited designated as Director – Technical.

7. YASH CHARI, DIRECTOR

Mr. Yash Chari has over 3 years of experience in the Chemical Industry. He holds a bachelor’s degree of science in chemical engineering from University of South Florida. He is also associated with Rossari Biotech Limited designated as Director- Marketing and Business Development.

Unitop Group presently has three manufacturing sites in India with the total Plant capacity of about 80,000Mt/Annum. The Company is also in a Joint-Collaboration with Hextar Chemicals Sdn Bhd of Malaysia and have an equal ownership of Hextar Unitop Sdn Bhd, which will make specialty chemicals for the agriculture, oil and gas, textile and personal care products industries having the plant capacity of approx. 6,000 tonnes a year.

Our R&D Wing is fully dedicated to Quality Standardization, Product improvement and process standardization. The Company is also in R&D collaboration with many Multinational and National Companies like Dow Agrosciences India, Arysta life Sciences, Adama ( Makhteshim Agan) , Cheminova India, FMC India , Godrej Agrovet, Mahindra etc.

The company is Market Leader in Non-ionic and Specialty Blended Surfactants and has established reputed Clientele in India & Abroad who are dealing in Non-ionic & Anionic products and blended specialty chemicals. The Company is well equipped with a team of technically and Commercially Qualified Professionals.

The Company is having its own Marketing Network in all major cities of India like Delhi, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin, Ahmadabad, Baroda, Jaipur etc. and also for overseas Marketing arrangements in countries like Malaysia, Thailand, Iran, Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Turkey, Germany and Latin American Countries etc.
